At Seldom Scene Meadow we practice sustainable living values. In addition to serving locally grown foods when available, our property is supported by solar electric and passive solar hot water systems. Bedrooms are appointed with restored and/or locally crafted furnishings, original art, hardwood floors, and natural fiber rugs. Public areas (living room, dining room, kitchen), as well as upstairs guest rooms, provide a front-row seat to birds and wildlife active in the surrounding Eastern Woodland and native grass meadow habitats.

Our establishment is conveniently located near the campus areas of Indiana University East, IVY Tech, Purdue Polytechnic Richmond, Earlham College, Earlham School of Religion, Bethany Theological Seminary, and Reid Hospital. While visiting, we recommend you take advantage of locally-owned dining, microbreweries, wineries, and specialty music entertainment venues. In addition, many guests enjoy engaging with our award-winning museums and landmarks - The National Museum of the Air Force, Richmond Art, Model T Ford, Levi Coffin Museums, Starr Gennett Building, and Tiffany Stained Glass Trail.
